  1. Makes about 750 mL (3 cups.)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb carrots (sliced)
  • 12 oz pineapple tidbits with syrup (can, undrained)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 tsp Windsor® Nature’s Seasons® Seasoning Blend
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3-4 tbsp orange juice (or orange-flavoured liqueur)

  • 1 lb carrots (sliced)

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 3-4 tbsp orange juice (or orange-flavoured liqueur)

Recipe Preparation

For the Carrots

  1. In medium saucepan, combine carrots, pineapple, water, and Windsor® Nature’s Seasons® Seasoning Blend. Bring to boil.
  2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 30 minutes or until carrots are tender.
  3. In small cup blend butter and flour to make a roux. Stir roux into carrots and pineapple.
  4. Cook and stir over high heat until sauce boils.
  5. Reduce heat. Stir in orange juice or orange-flavoured liqueur and simmer for 1 minute.
